Preparation is a good thing for this course. Take your canon bone and soak in a little detergent and water for a week and then scrape all fat and meat off. A good course as it's over two weekends.
Its best to go in with not just your bone or piece of rimu but some idea what your brooch will look like. Craig was full of ideas and did not curb our designs, if it did not work he tried to fix things, if not there was always the next weekend to try something else.
It was alot of fun and we got the opportunity to work a bit of whale bone too.
