Dennis Berdinner – Figurative Sculpture
Hands on, using clay and plasticine and working from a live model
produce a 3 dimensional piece. Starting with eyes, ears noses and lips,
progressing to the torso at the end of the week. What a challenge! I find I’m
using my left hand to sculpt while my right hand holds!( I’m right handed), we
must walk around our subject and produce something far smaller than what is
before us. These pieces could be a starting point to larger sculptures or
working in bronze or glass (both of which are offered at TLC).
I learnt alot
from Dennis, to observe, to translate, tool technique. Below is only a sample of my output.
